We want to work together to encourage people to check if they are at risk of flooding.   If they are at risk we need them to protect their homes and businesses.

There is information on how to check flood risk and sign up for warnings on our flood pages. Help us to signpost those pages to people at risk.

Leaflets for residents post Flooding

Guidance on Post-Flood Insurance

If you've been affected by flooding over the Christmas period, The Responding To Major Floods leaflet by the Association of British Insurers sets out the support you can expect from your insurer in the days, weeks and months after a major flood.

Insurers will do everything they can to help customers as quickly as is practically possible given the scale of the flooding and its continuing impact on access to flooded areas.

National FLood Forum Guidance Leaflet

The National Flood Forum have prepared a general guidance leaflet which has useful advice for before, during and after flooding has occurred.
