Community Resilience

UK Government have produced a number of useful guidance documents to enable individuals, communities and organisations to be more resilient and support one another.

These are a series of online resources which have been developed to enable individuals, communities and the organisations that support them to take part in emergency preparedness activities, in a way that complements the work of emergency responders.

The Met Office have also produced some useful information on how communities can be better prepared for extreme weather events

CitizenAID is a fantastic new phone application that has been developed by UK civilian and military clinicians to help improve community resilience, free of charge. It is designed to guide the public to react safely, to pass the right information to the emergency services, to prioritise the injured and to give life-saving first aid to help save lives in the event of a major emergency, such as a terrorist attack.
